The arrangement

What this actually is.

Capital is managed through a percentage-allocation structure at a regulated broker. The strategies trade intra-day and close out at the New York session.

  1. In the session

    Traded intra-day, systematically.

Systematic strategies run the execution — not me clicking buttons. You do nothing day to day; that is the point of it.

  2. At the close

Flat at the close, every day.

Every position closes out at the New York session. Nothing is carried from one day into the next.

  3. Overnight

    Nothing held while you sleep.

Overnight risk: none. A large part of why the drawdown profile looks the way it does.

  4. The weekend

    Nothing over the weekend.

Weekend risk: none. Friday’s close to Monday, there is nothing open to unwind.

The terms

Paid only on new ground.

You are not buying a course and there is no subscription. I am paid a share of the gain above your high-water mark, which means I earn nothing in a flat month and nothing until a losing month is made back.

Risk

What the risk looks like.

Stated before the upside, because it is the half most of this industry leaves to the small print.

Losing months

They happen, and they stay in.

Part of the record, never filtered out of it. Anyone showing you an unbroken run is showing you a selection, not a result.

Leverage

It cuts both ways.

The strategies are leveraged. That is what produces the returns and it is the same mechanism that produces the drawdowns.

Certainty

Nothing here is a promise.

Past performance does not predict future results. Your capital is at risk and you can get back less than you put in.

The full record — every month, the red ones included — is shared once I know who I am speaking to and what I am allowed to show you. That is the one question before it.

Fit

Who this is for.

And, just as usefully, who it is not. If the right-hand list sounds like you, the honest answer is somewhere else.

For
  • +Capital you can leave alone — not money you need next month
  • +A year or more in mind, not a quarter
  • +Comfortable seeing a drawdown without wanting out that week
  • +Happy to have a conversation before anything is set up
And who it is not
  • −Anyone who needs a fixed monthly income from it
  • −Anyone borrowing to invest
  • −Anyone who wants to be told it cannot lose
  • −Anyone looking for signals to copy — that is MISCON, not this
